  2. ABOUT THIS VERSION

  4. This is version 0.30 of the UCode archive - a universal 
  5. retargatable code definition.
  6.  
  7. Changes from the 0.20 release include:
  8.  
  9.   - UCode format revised. It has a much cleaner structure now.
  10.  
  11.   - uca2b now auto-adjust record data based on the record type.
  12.  
  13.   - umgk upgraded to handle the new UCodes. Has some more options
  14.     for sourceformatting plus more.
  15.  
  16.   - Docs!

  19. INSTALLATION
  20.  
  21. If you have a previous version installed then delete it. Unpack this
  22. archive to someplace. Optionally copy the bin directory to somewhere
  23. in your path.
  24.  
  25. The following stuff will be extracted.
  26.  
  27.   - ctc, ltc, xtc
  28.     Scripts to compile, list and execute the examples.
  29.  
  30.   - tca/*
  31.     Testcode files in the obscure uca2b source format.
  32.  
  33.   - tcb/*
  34.     Compiled testcode files. The actual UCode binaries.
  35.  
  36.   - bin/*
  37.     The uca2b frontend and the umgk backend.
  38.  
  39.   - rdocs/*
  40.     Reference docs. Everything you want to know but were afraid to ask.
  41.     r0001.doc is the index to the other docs and the recomended place
  42.     to start reading.
